I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
